The third annual Steam Awards nominees have been announced and a certain New Zealand-based studio’s ARPG made the cut.
Introduced in 2016, The Steam Awards are an annual user-voted award event created by Valve. According to Wikipedia, “Valve selects a number of categories, atypical of those used in gaming awards, and allows any registered Steam user to select one game available on Steam for that category. Valve also allows each user to submit their own voting category, along with their nomination for it.” The categories and submissions are then reviewed by Valve and the nominees go up for a second wave of user votes.
This year, Path of Exile made its way into the “Labour of Love” category. Voting will officially be open on the 20th of December, so make sure to support your favourite titles.
Once the voting window closes, results should come out around the end of the year or the beginning of 2019.
