Something Big Might Be Coming in Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.3

Players think Patch 0.3 might be PoE 2's turning point – but could Act 4, a new class, or campaign changes really be on the table?

Could Something Big Be Coming With Patch 0.3.0?

Just a few hours ago, earlier today, a new Reddit thread has caused a wave of speculation around what might be included in Path of Exile 2’s next big update – and a lot of signs point toward Act 4 finally arriving in Patch 0.3!

Keep in mind that nothing is officially confirmed, but between internal test builds, leaked Karui-themed assets, and some very carefully worded dev comments, players are convinced something big is coming. And if the rumors are true, it could include more than just a new Act…

A Karui Act With New Zones and Bosses?

The current theory is that Act 4 will be set across a chain of Karui islands, with tribal-style visuals, beast-themed zones, and some completely new bosses (including one involving a mermaid and another set in a gladiator-style arena).

GGG devs already mentioned that Patch 0.3 is “rather large,” which makes it even more likely that this is not just another balance update.

Will It Change the Campaign Structure Too?

Right now, PoE 2 still runs on a 3-Act loop in Normal, followed by the same 3 Acts again in Cruel. A lot of players are hoping that Act 4 replaces one of the Cruel chapters entirely – maybe even letting us skip the repeat content altogether.

There is also a growing call for:

  • A faster way through the campaign
  • Optional campaign skips for alts
  • A new self-scaled version of the campaign tuned for endgame players

Nothing confirmed yet, but the frustration with current pacing is definitely building.

Monk Class Teasers and Druid Delays

Several players think a new class might be added alongside Act 4, based on recent art and leaks showing what looks like a wind-themed martial artist. Could be a Monk-style Ascendancy, maybe connected to unarmed combat or that Aegis staff that keeps popping up.

The long-requested Druid is still floating around in discussion too, but devs have hinted it might be delayed so the team can focus on balance first.

Mapping Still Feels Off

Even if a new Act and class are on the way, there is still a lot of talk about how PoE 2’s endgame is not quite there yet. A lot of players still say mapping feels too grindy, not rewarding enough, and a bit too repetitive, especially compared to what they expected from a full sequel.

Calls for mapping reworks are getting louder, and many are hoping 0.3 brings at least some changes in that direction.

Will This Be the Patch That Changes the Pace?

When PoE 2 hit Early Access, most of us expected a full release sometime in 2025. But with how slowly things have been rolling out, many players now think 1.0 might not happen until 2026 or even later.

GGG said not all classes are needed for launch, but all story Acts are. So if Act 4 really is part of Patch 0.3, it could be a huge step toward that milestone… and maybe even a sign that content drops will start speeding up from here.

For now, all we can do is wait… and keep an eye out for any more hints.
