A Sneaky Interlude Bug Could Be Why You Miss Out on 5% Max Life

There is a bug in PoE2 that makes the Molten Shrine look done even if you never claimed the reward. Here is the step you might have missed!

There currently seems to be an issue with the Molten Shrine objective at The Khani Crossing. Sometimes it bugs out and shows as complete, even if you never actually grabbed the reward. That means you could be missing the +5% max life it is supposed to give.

The issue also came up on Reddit after one player noticed their life total did not add up, even though the map showed the shrine as completed.

How the Bug Shows Up

Here is what seems to be going on:

  • The Molten Shrine objective sometimes marks itself complete without you touching it.
  • At the titan skull area, you may hear dialogue and hit a checkpoint, but no entrance shows up.
  • The map shows it as done, but you do not gain the +5% max life.

This was confirmed by unequipping gear and checking base stats; no bonus was applied.

How to fix it

If you want to make sure you got the bonus, here is what you need to do:

  • Return to The Khani Crossing in the Vastiri Interlude.
  • Head back to the titan skull area. You should now see an entrance.
  • Go inside the short lava side zone and find the titan statue/altar.
  • Interact with the green quest item to actually claim your +5% max life.
Vastiri Interlude Molten Shrine Quest Item Bug: Make sure to interact with the green quest item to actually pick up your +5% max life reward.

This is a permanent reward, and missing it will leave your character weaker than intended. If your map shows the shrine as complete but you never picked up the item, it is worth checking your life total.
