Update (April 6)
The monster HP nerfs from Hotfix 6 have now been formally rolled into the 0.2.0b patch released on April 5. The changes remain the same, but the update is no longer classified as a hotfix. A few minor skill adjustments were also included in the patch, but the monster-scaling changes are still the main highlight. You can find the full 0.2.0b patch notes on the official forum thread.

Grinding Gear Games has been busy rolling out back-to-back hotfixes since yesterday’s launch of Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt. But the most impactful one so far is Hotfix 6, which just went live, and it brings huge changes to monster scaling, especially during early and mid-level progression.
Here is what changed in Hotfix 6:
- Monsters from Level 15–46 now have 25% less Life.
- Levels 8-15: Life tapers down from 100% to 75%.
- Levels 46-64: Life tapers back up from 75% to 100%.
- Endgame monster life remains unchanged.
- Rogue Exiles now have 40% less Life (this stacks with the global monster life changes).
- The “of the Hydra” Life Regen modifier no longer appears before level 65.
These changes are supposed to smooth out the progression curve and address feedback that the early and mid-game felt a bit too spongy, which players have been very vocal about already. Crowd Control and Ailment thresholds have also been adjusted proportionally to match the new health values.
Other Recent Hotfixes (Hotfix 2–5 Highlights):
- Fixed Smith of Kitava Ascendancy bug.
- Fixed multiple crashes tied to controller use, Storm Lance, Raise Shield, and more.
- Discipline and Purity auras now correctly apply to the wielder.
- Temporarily disabled NVIDIA Reflex due to performance issues.
GGG is continuing to monitor our (player) feedback and has confirmed that some client and instance crashes are still being investigated, especially those related to towns, microtransactions, and specific skill interactions.
