Path of Exile 2 has no shortage of serious builds, but sometimes you need something that is just plain fun to play. That is where the Fartmaster comes in: a dark, poison-stacking Ritualist that clears entire screens with a single burst. The build was featured yesterday on the official Path of Exile YouTube channel, showing off how powerful Plague Bearer can be when paired with smart item choices and a little humor.
How the Fartmaster Build Works
Lightning Spear is used to apply poison stacks to groups of enemies. Its job is not damage – it is all about stacking poison quickly.
Plague Bearer stores those poisons and unleashes them as a huge poison nova, clearing the whole screen at once.
- With the right gear, a single Lightning Spear cast is enough to fully charge Plague Bearer.
Important Items and Synergies:
- Splinter of Loratta (spear): Removes the poison stack limit and guarantees poison on hit.
- Breach Rings + Ritualist Ascendancy: Lets you wear three powerful rings with flat elemental damage, which gets converted into poison.
- Plaguefinger gloves: Converts all flat damage into poison damage.
- Ingenuity belt: Further boosts your rings and flat damage scaling.

Bossing Setup
For bosses, the build swaps to Storm Lance, embedding spears that keep applying poison over time.
With Scattershot support, the build charges
Plague Bearer even during single-target fights, letting you cycle massive poison bursts between Storm Lance attacks.
Other Key Skills
Herald of Plague and
Blood Boil for better map clearing.
Withering Presence and
Trinity help scale your poison damage.
- Builds around a strong Spirit pool for even better scaling.
Simple But Powerful!
Even though the name is rather odd, the Fartmaster is no joke. It is an affordable build that fits perfectly with the Ritualist’s poison themes. If you are looking for something fun but still strong enough for endgame content, you might want to give this one a try!
