The second official Act 3 Boss Kill Race for Path of Exile 2 finished a few hours ago, and once again, Angormus has claimed the top spot. This time, he finished the race in just 1:53:50, making it the fastest winning time across both seasons so far. And once again, he did it as a Warrior.

Warrior Still on Top?

Even though the meta focused around new spear skills and upgraded movement tech, Warrior is still leading the early race scene thanks to tools like Rake, Disengage, and Stomping Ground. These skills allow for quick animation cancels, fast clear speed, and strong boss damage once Perfect Strike becomes available.

Angormus was not the only Warrior in the top ranks either; mostlyworks_warrior and ChacalCoach_TTV_ also finished strong, with the latter even beating Angormus’ previous record from the Season 1 race.

All Class Winners:

  • Warrior: Angormus
  • Monk: Sarge
  • Witch (Infernalist): Xiao
  • Ranger (Pathfinder): BagelRaceOne (BagelGoose)
  • Huntress: Arko
  • Mercenary: Dub_ok_buisness (Temazavr1)
  • Sorceress: Bunkka

Movement Meta and Strategy Changes

The biggest change this time around? Movement tech has leveled up massively. Players are now chaining Rake into Dodge Rolls, or even Leap Slam-ing into Shield Charges for near-constant momentum. Early-game spear tech is king, and Disengage remains a good pick before Rake unlocks at Level 6.

We also saw more gear swapping mid-run (e.g., “bossing boots” for strength-based burst) and clever XP routing using fixed zone layouts.

Race Highlights

Here are some of the more notable moments from yesterday’s race event:

  • Xiaoi secured the Witch win with just 550 HP, surviving Doryani with tight dodges and perfect resets.
  • ChacalCoach_TTV_, a rising new contender from Brazil, turned heads with a 2:14 Warrior finish.
  • mostlyworks (lightspeedcake) finished just behind Angormus with clean execution and strong pathing.
  • BagelGoose won the Ranger demi, though we did not get to see the full run.
  • And of course, Angormus crushed the final boss with flawless Perfect Strike timing and skipped the laser phase entirely.

What Is Next?

With every class now represented and new racers closing the gap on the veterans, it looks like PoE 2’s competitive scene is heating up quite fast. Players are refining strategies each week, and community tools like the Racing Discord and VOD coverage are helping everyone keep up. This is to say, these little events definitely help the community to stay engaged; how long that lasts is anyone’s guess.
