Path of Exile 2’s Brutal Boss Rush Is Tearing Through TGS 2025

Grinding Gear Games is keeping the hype rolling for Path of Exile 2. After PAX West, the Boss Rush challenge is now also happening at Tokyo Game Show 2025, giving players in Japan a shot at fighting some of the game’s deadliest encounters.

How the Boss Rush Works

Visitors pick from seven pre-built characters, one for each class, before heading straight into a gauntlet of arenas. First, you clear out waves of enemies, then go straight into a boss fight.

Beat one, and a portal drops you into the next round. Each win raises the stakes as the bosses hit harder and harder.

There are 15 bosses in total, including some straight out of the new Third Edict update. Grinding Gear Games even said they “highly doubt you can kill them all.”

And it is not just for bragging rights. A live leaderboard tracks the fastest and furthest runs, turning the whole thing into a mini-competition. On top of the glory, players can also earn exclusive Path of Exile 2 merch depending on how well they perform.
