GGG Details What’s Coming Next for Path of Exile 2
Grinding Gear Games has just posted a development update on what they are working on next for Path of Exile 2, after widespread player feedback about slow gameplay, overtuned monsters, and early frustrations with certain builds, especially the Huntress.
If you missed it, here is a quick breakdown of the talking points from their April 6 post:
Huntress Buffs Are Coming
- A new skill, Cull the Weak, is being added to give Frenzy charges without needing to Parry.
- Spear throw speeds are being increased, especially for Lightning Spear.
- Parry feel and responsiveness are being reviewed.
Minion Builds Getting Campaign Help
- Minions were nerfed heavily in 0.2.0 to address late-game scaling.
- GGG will re-buff minion damage and life during the campaign while keeping endgame balance changes.
Monster Life Nerfs (Already Live)
- Monster HP during the campaign has been reduced by 25%.
- Rare minions were previously overtuned and have now had their HP reduced by ~60%, reverting to pre-0.2 values.
Crashes & Disconnects
- The major “Failed to deserialize object” crash from launch day has been fixed.
- Client crashes are now lower than in 0.1.1, but server crashes are 6x higher and remain GGG’s top priority.
Quality-of-Life (QoL) Features in Development
- Atlas Bookmarks – Save custom locations on your Atlas for easy tracking.
- Expanded Stash Affinities – Will now support Socketables, Tablets, and more.
- Spectre/Tamed Beast Rebinding – A fix is in the works to let players experiment more freely with minions.
We will keep you updated as these changes go live. In the meantime, you can read the full developer post here: “Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt – What We’re Working On“
