GGG just followed up with the full breakdown of Patch 0.2.0h, expanding on the preview we saw last week. There is a lot more detail now, especially for Breach mechanics, item labeling, shrine rewards, and UI improvements.
Here is what is changing this week in Path of Exile 2.
Breach Rework Details: Spawns, Duration, and Splinter Vacuuming
Monster spawns in Breach encounters are being improved to avoid the frustrating “empty breach” issue in tight areas. Duration has also been adjusted:
- Minimum time increased from 12 to 20 seconds
- Rare and Magic monster kills extend the timer more than Normal monsters
- Splinters are now vacuumed and placed at your feet when the breach ends
- In groups, splinters split randomly between players
This should make Breach feel much more consistent and less punishing overall.
Quick-Use Currency Buttons Update
As we covered previously, Strongboxes and Essences are getting new UI buttons to quickly use orbs. GGG added more details today:
- Buttons only show relevant orbs based on item state
- (e.g. Wisdom Scroll for Unidentified, Augmentation for single affix)
- No Divine Orbs or risky orbs are included
- Essences now support Vaal Orbs through the same UI
- You still need to have the currency in your inventory
This saves a lot of time and prevents accidental clicks.
New Stash Tabs: Ritual + Socketables
GGG also confirmed a few extra features for the new stash tabs:
- Ritual Tab: Holds Omens and Audiences with the King
- Socketable Tab: Stores Runes, Talismans, and Soul Cores
- Now includes a built-in button to upgrade runes
These tabs will be available for purchase shortly after the patch goes live.
Item Label Visibility and Loot Adjustments
Some important items were too easy to miss without custom filters. Labels have now been adjusted:
- Precursor Tablets, Expedition Logbooks, and Expedition Chests now have outlined labels
- Perfect Jeweller’s Orbs and Level 20 Uncut Gems will become more common, but still remain rare
You will also be able to filter Unidentified Tier 1–5 Magic and Rare items, a big win for efficiency during cluttered drops.
Shrine Changes and Removals
- Greed Shrine and Corrupting Shrine have been disabled due to their downsides
- Rare Shrines (like Diamond and Divine) now appear more often
- Most shrines now last 60 to 90 seconds, instead of 45
According to GGG, these changes should make shrines feel more rewarding across the board.
Smaller Fixes and QoL Changes
- Arbiter of Ash’s Corridor skill visuals are now clearer
- You can now bind keys to quickly allocate STR/DEX/INT in the passive tree
- Charms can be stored in any stash with Flask Affinity
- Added a Town travel button to the right side of the Waypoint UI
- You can now Ctrl+Right-Click to bulk-move currency stacks
- 15 crash fixes were also confirmed
Azmerian Wisp Targeting Is Fixed
Double Wisps will now both target the same Rare monster when activated. This avoids losing one Wisp due to conflicting targets. GGG also confirmed:
- Spirit of the Spring Hare and Spirit of the Fox now spawn 3x more often
Rogue Exiles: Easier to See and Fight
Rogue Exiles were easy to miss or frustrating to track. Two small but helpful changes are coming:
- Aggro range is shorter, so their life bar does not appear off-screen
- Minimap icons are added once they aggro
- Lighting effects are brighter, helping them stand out during cluttered fights or in dark maps
It will now be easier to notice and actually fight them.
Private Leagues Are Returning
Private Leagues will be enabled with the patch (via the Path of Exile 1 website for now). They will not support custom modifiers yet, but let you restart in a clean economy solo or with friends. GGG says more functionality is planned soon.
