Grinding Gear Games has confirmed that Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.2.0g is almost ready and should be released before the end of this week. The patch will include changes to loot, as well as other improvements the team is still finalizing.
No specific launch date has been announced yet, but this update is an important patch, as it is all about improving how rewarding content feels throughout Dawn of the Hunt.
Loot Changes Confirmed
Patch notes are not out yet, but GGG has already confirmed that loot will be a big focus in 0.2.0g. Based on past dev comments, we can expect:
- Loot pacing in the Corrupted Nexus
- Reward scaling in Simulacrums and Expeditions
- Progression flow across early endgame tiers
These changes follow weeks of community feedback asking for more natural progression and better rewards in more difficult content.
Hotfix 7 for 0.2.0f Now Live
On top of the news regarding the upcoming patch, a new hotfix was deployed today.
Patch 0.2.0f Hotfix 7 includes a single fix:
- Trail of Caltrops Bug Fixed
A bug that allowed this skill to trigger others when socketed into a Meta Gem has now been resolved. (Source: Official GGG Forum Post)
