Trading in Path of Exile 2 got a huge quality-of-life boost with asynchronous shops. You can now buy straight from other players’ stash tabs without them even being online, which is perfect for bulk buying.

But there is a catch: some sellers have been slipping Divine Orbs into bulk deals, and if you are not paying attention, one misclick could drain your stash before you even realize what happened.

How to Avoid PoE2’s Trading Traps

There are a few simple strategies that players currently recommend:

  • Filter by exact currency. Always set your filter to the specific orbs you want to use.
  • Separate your stash. Move Divines and other high-value orbs into a different tab or your inventory. The system pulls from your stash automatically.
  • Double-check highlights. Auto-highlighted items can trick you if you are in a rush.
  • Block trap sellers. If someone lists absurd prices (like 9999 Divines), block them so you never buy by mistake.

One especially useful trick: move your Divines completely out of reach before doing bulk trades. If the system cannot see them, it cannot pull them for payment.

Of course, it comes as no surprise that some are calling for a proper “checkout” screen that shows the final total in every currency. Until then, though, staying sharp is the best way to protect your loot.

Bulk trading is one of PoE2’s best features – just make sure you are not giving away more than you bargained for.
