PoE2 Loot Is Fixed – Now Here Comes the Real Feedback
Patch 0.2.0g brought a big change to Path of Exile 2. Loot feels better, maps are juicier, and players are actually finding more currency and gear they want to use. But that does not mean the community is done talking.
A Reddit thread asking “what’s the next issue now that loot is fixed?” quickly exploded, receiving over 500 comments. The answers? Plenty, and they go way beyond just item drops.
If you want to read the full discussion for yourself, you can head to the original Reddit post here:
Top Complaints Players Still Have
Here is a quick breakdown of what Exiles (aka players) say still feels off, frustrating, or unfinished:
- Build Flexibility Feels Low:
Many players feel forced into narrow playstyles and meta setups. Want to play something janky? Good luck clearing T4. - Ascendancy Trees Are Too Restrictive:
Several comments point out that PoE2’s passive trees give fewer interesting choices compared to PoE1. One player said: “It feels like I am just checking off boxes, not making decisions.” - Early Game Still Feels Weak:
Even with better drops, the campaign and early maps are called slow and unrewarding. “It’s hard to feel powerful until way later,” some wrote. - Crafting Remains a Frustration Point:
RNG-heavy outcomes, poor control over mods, and too few deterministic options, especially for Solo Self-Found players, are a recurring complaint. - Mobility Still Clunky:
Players want more responsive movement or base movespeed improvements. Many still feel the current system (swapping weapons for movement) is awkward. - Too Much Clicking:
From Breach Splinters to low-tier currency, the spam-clicking to loot is wearing thin. “Why do I need to pick up 50 transmutes manually in 2025?” one player asked.
But Not Everyone Is Negative
Even though there is a mountain of feedback, several Exiles (players) point out that it is a good thing. As one top comment put it, “This just means people still care enough to want the game to get better.”
There are also those who note that the early access is simply doing its job, and that this is the perfect time for GGG to listen. Overall, players complimented recent changes like the loot buff and Nexus adjustments, calling them a “good direction.” Which brings us to the last part:
A Reminder That the Loot Buff Worked
The post itself only happened because loot feels significantly better since the latest patch. That is a win, and one that many in the thread recognize.
But now that the loot is fixed, players want everything else to catch up. And GGG might want to brace for more Reddit megathreads if they do not.
