PoE 2’s next major content has an official name and a release date! The patch is titled The Last of the Druids, and as we previously predicted, it will release on December 12 at 12 PM PST.
Game Director Jonathan Rogers also added that the GGG Live event will take place on December 4.
Druid Is In Patch 0.4
It wouldn’t be a patch announcement without a teaser trailer, and GGG reliably shared one earlier today. Give it a watch and you’ll get to see the werewolf form for the upcoming Druid class! Additionally, some players suspect that the narration voice on the teaser video could belong to the Druid himself, so we’re looking forward to confirming that in early December.
Who Can Play Patch 0.4?
While Path of Exile 2 remains in early access, it is still a pay-to-play game. Early access keys start at $30.
For the first three days of the upcoming league, GGG is running a free weekend event, allowing players on all gaming platforms to play PoE 2 without purchasing an early access key. This free weekend will run from December 12 at 3 PM through December 15 at 3 PM. You can find more details about the free weekend on GGG’s official site.
GGG ran a free weekend during Patch 0.3’s opening weekend as a way to test server stability. Despite the increased number of players, it was one of the smoothest releases the company has ever had. Hopefully, Patch 0.4 follows suit!
