Decide Your Fate
When you interrupt the Coven’s magic, you will have the opportunity to choose a Fate for the boss in your current area. Each Fate has several effects that will enhance both the rewards and the difficulty of the encounter.
An empowered boss can present a significant challenge, but the potential rewards associated with each Fate you choose will likely justify the effort.

Construct Your Wickerman
The witchcraft of the Coven permits the use of remains from defeated enemies by placing them on your Wickerman. Acquire Viscera from a defeated boss empowered by Fates to gain a fragment of their power.
Each boss in the campaign and every boss on a map in the Atlas offers a distinct Viscera. Remember to gather the Fates prior to defeating them to ensure you do not miss any opportunity.

The Grim Fate
The influence of the Coven Queen can reach even the deepest memories of the Atlas. Grim Fates allow you to empower the most difficult bosses within the Atlas.
Take on these threats, and you’ll be rewarded with the greatest of trophies, Pinnacle Boss Viscera.
Perhaps you will even be able to hold back the Coven Queen herself!
Threads of Creation
Scarabs are being removed and replaced by a new system, Threads of Creation.
By setting Threads directly in the Map device, players can apply a selected league mechanic to the area, while adjusting the rarity and difficulty of monsters. Each Thread used will enhance the likelihood of random powerful effects that enhance that league mechanic.

Atlas Tree Overhaul
The Atlas passive tree has undergone a complete refresh, featuring a new layout along with numerous new wheels, stats, and effects. Many of these were previously available on Scarabs and can now be guaranteed.

Improvements to Existing Leagues
Discover additional improvements for the endgame. In Covens of Umbra, nearly every endgame league mechanic has been enhanced, altered, or reworked in some manner.
Mirage goes to core
Mirages have reappeared, with the possibility of appearing randomly in maps or as a rollable map modifier alongside other mechanics like Mirrors of Delirium or the Viridian Wildwood. Mirages now encompass the entire map, enabling you to traverse the entire map once more.
Saresh is returning as well, but it is important to note that he has become a significantly more difficult encounter.

Massive Loot Rework
In this expansion, significant changes are being made to the loot drop mechanics in Path of Exile.
At the endgame stage, unidentified Magic and Rare items can now drop with a tier, enhancing all aspects of the item. This allows players to better identify which items are worth picking up and identifying.
Furthermore, the rarity on Maps and monsters now enhances all types of drops, resulting in more valuable currency and unique items appearing when engaging in challenging content.
New Unique Items
And of course, as with any of their releases, new Unique items have made their way to Wraeclast with this expansion.

Show your support
As always, they are launching 5 new Supporter Packs to celebrate the release of Covens of Umbra. Each pack includes exclusive microtransactions and store points, with higher tiers also featuring merchandise, a Path of Exile 2 statue, and an opportunity to submit your hideout to appear as an Atlas anomaly.
You can buy the new supporter packs here.
Path of Exile: Covens of Umbra will launch on November 13th 1pm (PDT) for PC, Mac and Consoles.
