GhazzyTV's Dominating Blow Champion Guide (PoE Keepers of the Flame 3.27)

Introduction

Dominating Blow has been a staple in the off-meta section of minion builds for a long time. We punch mobs, they die, and we get friends!
Now, what if we could also howl at the moon and slap big standards down to provide buffs as well? We’d be a cheerleader for our boys. That’s exactly what this build guide is: the Cheerleader Champion.
Strap in, because it’s about to get weird. And very button-intensive. If you were looking for your next one-button build, this is not that.

The build has been developed in cooperation with Lollash as a variant of his character that is a pure buff support.

Pros

+ Suppression capped minions – Unlike most builds, we will be providing the boys with Suppression through Defiance Banner.

+ Movement Speed – We are zooming around due to a scaled Defiance Banner.

+ Unique Playstyle – Warcries and Banners are not traditional parts of Minion builds. This one is very Unique in that sense.

Cons

– Unique Playstyle Warcries and Banners require an active playstyle and a lot of buttons.

– Button Intensive This build presses a lot, and I mean a lot, of buttons.

Playstyle

The playstyle of this build is a bit unconventional, and I will try to cover each aspect of how it plays sufficiently so that it makes sense to you. We utilize Dominating Blow to spawn sentinels, and place banners to get Suppression, Movement Speed and damage. In order to keep these banners up, we warcry to generate valour stages. The warcries in question also provide the minions (and ourselves) with buffs. Essentially, we are a buff support who just happens to have minions that help deal damage.

This all comes together through the use of Redblade Banner. This Banner Mastery grants Valour on Warcry, while the Champion’s Inspirational notable provides Valour when leaving the banner area. Combined with modifiers that increase Maximum Valour and Valour gain, the setup creates a smooth loop of Warcrying, placing your banner, moving, and repeating the process. It can take a little practice to get used to, but once you do, it flows perfectly.

Damage Scaling And Defensive Layers

As mentioned above, we scale our damage through the use of warcries and banners. Ancestral Cry Provides extra elemental resistance and +2 strikes. Enduring Cry Provides life regeneration and Endurance charges. Infernal Cry provides the minions with extra fire damage.
War Banner provides us with a massive damage boost, and Defiance Banner provides us with massive movement speed and spell suppression cap.
On top of that, we run a Triad Grip to fully convert to fire, and a Tukohama Vanguard Spectre to reduce bosses’ fire resistance.
