GhazzyTV's Poison Summon Raging Spirits Necromancer, PoB Passive Skill Tree & Gem Links (PoE Trial of the Ancestors)
Important PoB Notes
All my guides use Path of Building. We have a simple guide for you that shows how to import my build into Path of Building, you can find the guide here
End Game PoB & Passive Skill Tree
This build is extremely straightforward tree-wise. The budget-friendly version includes Cluster Jewels, however as the PoB shows, they are extremely bad ones which make them very cheap to purchase and/or easy to craft.
The low & medium budget PoB can be found here: https://pobb.in/PN81lhu8wRxz Make sure you check the different item-sets & skill-set in this PoB as it will help you navigate progressing the character from the start!
If you’re looking for that juicy VERY high budget version Balormage got you covered here: https://pobb.in/BPxoswvNuGlP
Once the skill-tree is finished, just focus entirely on more Jewel Sockets or Cluster Jewels, if you can afford it.
Leveling Progression
Depending on if you’re playing Hardcore or Softcore, you will have to adjust your routing based on how good the gear you find is. An example is that if you have lots of Life & Resistance from drops you get during the Acts, you can focus on taking the damage-providing nodes over the defensive ones and vice versa. The links below are trees that should fit in almost any situation no matter the drop RNG.
- Levelling skill tree level 9
- Levelling skill tree level 19
- Levelling skill tree level 26
- Levelling skill tree level 38
- Levelling skill tree level 50
- Levelling skill tree level 56
- Levelling skill tree level 84
- Levelling skill tree level 90
Masteries
A lot of the masteries available comes down to a matter of personal preference but some are more or less mandatory.
Life Mastery: 15% increased maximum life if there are no life modifiers on body armour. Drop this if your corrupted chest has +maximum life/% increased maximum life/life regeneration or any other mod with life tag
Life Mastery: “+50 to maximum life” this mastery node should be picked up in your first life cluster you get to.
Minion Offence Mastery: “20% increased effect of Offerings” Big defensive node and should be taken as soon as you start using Bone Offering.
Minion Offence Mastery: “minions have +250 to Accuracy Rating” Since we are scaling our damage from gear & not directly from minion gem levels we will need some extra help to get the accuracy rating up.
Minion Offence Mastery: “Minions have 30% increased area of effect” The area of effect will help our minions hit more targets when clearing maps.
Mana Mastery: “12% increased mana reservation efficiency of skills” This helps us become able to run all our auras.
Shield Mastery: “+1% chance to block attack damage per 5% chance to block on equipped shield” A must have to reach the desired block caps.
Leveling Gems & Links
The best feeling when levelling through the campaign is to use the skill you’re supposed to use for the end-game content as well, this build provides this in a VERY effective manner! The PoB covers most of this in detail, below you’ll find a TLDR of how to get started early on.
Do keep in mind that if you feel like you’re lacking single target damage vs any boss during the Acts, you can always change your Melee Splash to a red damage support gem such as Added Fire Damage Support or
Melee Physical Damage Support. Once you get a 4-link, I would go for the Melee Physical, and later you can change the Splash for
Multistrike Support instead for single target. The Aura decision comes in Act 3, which is when we enable
Anger for optimal damage output.
Amulet Anointment
There are plenty of great notables to anoint on your amulet, for this build we’ll go with the Testudo notable which will help you cap your attack block chance! This will cost you: 1x Clear Oil, 1x
Sepia Oil & 1x
Black Oil.
End Game Gem Links
Below you’ll find detailed description of both non-poison low budget gem links as well as the poison oriented end game gem links. Do keep in mind that the poison variant is superior but is strongly recommended to have Ghastly Eye Jewel with the modifier “+#% chance for minions to poison on hit” for it to work even better. You don’t need 100% to transition to that version so at least 1 or 2 of those jewels would be enough to get started with that version which is reflected in the PoB links as well!
6-Link SRS
Low budget non-poison:
Summon Raging Spirit
Unleash Support
Melee Splash Support (Switch this for
Multistrike Support for single-target)
Immolate Support
Minion Damage Support
Elemental Damage with Attacks Support
4-Link Curse and Offering Utility
Make sure to have Desecrate before Offering in the sockets counting from top left socket
Low budget non-poison:
Arcanist Brand
Desecrate (Keep this gem at level 1 to minimize mana cost)
Bone Offering
Flammability
2-Link Divine Blessing Haste
Low budget non-poison:
Note: Make sure not to link this with any other aura.
When you go poison later, do NOT socket this in the weapon as it will create a blessing conflict between Haste and Envy
Vaal Haste – We will be blessing the regular haste version!
Divine Blessing Support
1-Socket Aura, Vitality
4-Link Utility & Auras
Low budget non-poison:
The Animate Guardian is a bit tricky and I would strongly recommend watching the initial video for this build guide as well as this in-depth guide for the AG: https://www.poe-vault.com/guides/ghazzys-animate-guardian-gearing-guide
For the exact gear to put on your AG, please see the itemset “AG” in the respective PoB you’re following.
If you’re uncertain how to summon your specters, please check out this brief video:
The spectres we’ll be using for this build can be a bit tricky to find for the new(er) players, you can come to the global channel I made in-game by typing “/global 6666” and ask for them there if needed! First priority of spectre to pick up as we’ll only be running 2 is the Pale Seraphim it’s a monster from the Beyond/Scourge encounters that debuffs enemies with 15% increased damage taken. The 2nd spectre we’ll use is an Arena Master this will increase both damage dealt & taken by 20% and 20% increased attack/cast speed for 4 seconds with a ~8sec cooldown. The combination of these 2 significantly increase your damage capabilities.
2-Link Golem Feeding Frenzy
Low budget non-poison:
1-Socket Aura Determination
1-Socket Aura Anger
This aura is discarded once you go poison and is replaced with the weapon’s aura Envy. Until then Anger provides us with a massive amount of flat fire damage.
1-Socket Aura Tempest Shield
Tempest Shield provides us with spellblock and Shock immunity. Both of these are amazing defensive layers.
1-Socket Mobility
We mostly use Frostblink to get over ledges, and it provides a minor freeze when we really need to escape.
1-Socket Mobility
This is our main method of getting around. This will be replaced by Whirling Blades once we go poison.
6-Link SRS
Higher budget poison:
Summon Raging Spirit
Unleash Support
Melee Splash Support (Switch this for
Multistrike Support for single-target)
Chance to Poison Support (If you have poison chance covered without it use
Void Manipulation Support)
Minion Damage Support
Unbound Ailments Support
2-Link & 1-Socket Shield Set-Up
Higher budget poison:
Malevolence COULD be blessing-linked here instead if you prefer higher boss damage, and like to go slow. This is not recommended for the average player, as what haste provides is massive Quality of Life and almost the same damage.
Vitality Note: Do NOT link this with Divine Blessing
3-Link Weapon – Auras & Mobility
Higher budget poison:
Generosity Support (
Severed in Sleep Envy Aura is getting supported by this)
Whirling Blades
Frostblink
4-Link Utility
Higher budget poison:
