Ascendancy (Marauder – Juggernaut)

Unbreakable

The 5% reduced Damage Taken works on mitigating Righteous Fire Righteous Fire‘s degen which, in combination with the 2% Life Regeneration, makes this Notable incredibly strong while leveling. The additional 1.5% of Physical Damage prevented regenerated as Life per Second is a decent bonus, but generally isn’t super useful.

Unflinching

Unflinching is the cornerstone of your Endurance Charge generation. Endurance Charges provide the build with most of its tankiness, through expanding on them in later Ascendancies and getting some amplifiers in the tree. This Ascendancy point basically guarantees you to be at full Endurance Charges at all times.

Unyielding

This is the first of two Ascendancy nodes that amplify the Endurance Charges we’ve been generating though Unflinching. The 6% Area of Effect nets you an effective 3 Radius, which is really nice (then again, you are getting 36% Increased AoE here) whereas the Damage per Endurance Charge approximately relates to 5% More damage. It is a pretty decent Ascendancy point overall.

Unrelenting

One of the most important Ascendancies is taken last, mainly because even though it’s great, it’ll hardly be necessary right until the point where you’re completing the Uber Labyrinth anyway. Don’t be afraid of going in there, by the way, as you will completely trivialize all the traps and Izaro’s Damage. The reason why this node is so important is because it gives Juggernaut some much-needed Elemental Mitigation, and some nice Chaos Resistance. Since it’s hard for us to grab any of that elsewhere, we’re pretty happy to pick that up here. Lastly, the 6% increased Physical Damage Reduction is incredibly valuable too, as again, this type of Physical Damage mitigation is rarely found and incredibly potent.

Bandits

There really only is one option here. You want to to help Eramir by killing all bandits. None of the rewards are great for us and we really like skill points, so we’ll gladly take two of those.

Pantheons

Major Gods

Soul of Arakaali is probably your best pick. You generally have an obscene amount of Physical and Fire mitigation already anyway, so picking up some extra Reduced Damage taken over Time here (which affects your Righteous Fire) is especially nice. Additionally, if there’s any type of damage we want to avoid, it’d be either Cold or Lightning Damage.

Minor Gods

I would recommend Soul of Yugul and upgrade it to cap out curse effect reduction.

Upgrading your Pantheons

Whilst upgrading your Pantheons never hurts you, it’s not mandatory. If you have nothing else to do at some point, sure, why not, but it shouldn’t be something you focus on or spend a lot of time on.

Pantheon powers can be upgraded by using Divine Vessel Divine Vessel in the Map Device while you are activating the particular Map that contains the boss you need. Once you’ve killed the boss and captured his soul, you need to deliver the Divine Vessel Divine Vessel, which’ll be filled up in the map device, to Sin in Oriath.
