Ascendancy (Witch – Elementalist)

_This guide assumes you have a level 80 character which has at least 3 Labyrinths completed. You can play the build without Heart of Destruction however I recommend playing your leveling build until you’ve completed all 4 of the Labyrinths. Therefore, the following Ascendancies are in no particular order.

Mastermind of Discord

Mastermind of Discord gives you an extra 10% Penetration as Frost Bomb, which is applying exposure, only applies 15% exposure. Additionally, this build is craving for mana so we don’t mind getting an extra 1% regen here.

Heart of Destruction

This Ascendancy point is basically there to make the build Pinnacle capable at the end game. Convergence is pretty sick amount of Damage and as you’re usually not having 100% uptime, you can almost consider this a 30% more damage multiplier on fights where it matters.

Bastion of Elements

Our third piece to the defense puzzle. After solving Phys & Chaos mitigation through Doppelganger, Bastion of Elements gives you a huge chunk of extra buffer versus incoming elemental damage.

Shaper of Storms

This is what we’ve talked about before. The Ascendancy point which makes us able to Shock with all of our damage meaning that all of our ailment stacking is not in vain. Through all our ailment effect ,this node almost gives us 30% more damage which is insane for an Ascendancy point!

Bandits

There really only is one option here. You want to kill all to help Eramir for 2 Skill Points. None of the Bandit options are particularly useful to you for this build.

Pantheons

Major Gods

Soul of The Brine King is your Pantheon of Choice. It grants you some much needed Stun avoidance & its upgraded part makes you immune to Freezes.

Minor Gods

I would recommend Soul of Abberath here as Burning Ground is incredibly annoying for almost any build. Make sure to upgrade it.

Upgrading your Pantheons

Pantheon powers can be upgraded by using Divine Vessel in the Map Device while you are activating the particular Map that contains the boss you need. Once you’ve killed the boss and captured his soul, you can consume the Divine Vessel, which’ll show up filled in the map device, or deliver it to Sin in Oriath for extra dialogue relating to the game’s lore.
