Passive tree and PoB Link

This is the Endgame Passive Skill Tree for the build. We focus on picking up all the efficient Impale, Sword and Crit nodes along the way, as well as a ton of health, some defensive clusters, such as “Soul of Steel”, as well as all the relevant Keystones (Call to Arms and Point Blank: this one will later turn into Divine Flesh).

You can find the Path of Building right here. This PoB was created using the PoB Community Fork, managed by LocalIdentity. If you are using the official Path of Building, developed by OpenArl, you might not be able to access all the relevant information. We recommend switching over to the Community Fork for the best experience.

Make sure to read the items, skill group names and the NOTES section for additional information.

Gems

Cyclone Cyclone is your signature skill, which should ideally be used in a 6-Link. For mobility you should use Leap Slam Leap Slam. Blood Rage Blood Rage is an offensive buff that should be active all the time once you have enough Life Regeneration to sustain it. Vaal Molten Shell Vaal Molten Shell provides great amount of on-demand damage mitigation.

Your ideal buff setup looks like this: Pride Pride, Blood and Sand Blood and Sand, Flesh and Stone Flesh and Stone and Dread Banner Dread Banner in addition to Enduring Cry Enduring Cry.

For all the gem links we provide below, keep in mind that we list the gems in order of priority, meaning that if you lack the required number of sockets to fit all the gems, the first ones to drop are the ones at the bottom. Also note that in-game, as long as the sockets are linked, it makes no difference at all what order the gems are placed in.

Cyclone (6-Link)

Cyclone Cyclone is a melee attack that can be used with both Two-Handed and One-Handed melee weapons. For this particular build we dual wield One-Handed Swords, which allows us to stack Impales very fast. We recommend one link that works great for both clearing and single target.

  1. Cyclone Cyclone
  2. Brutality Support Brutality Support
  3. Fortify Support Fortify Support
  4. Infused Channelling Support Infused Channelling Support
  5. Pulverise Support Pulverise Support
  6. Close Combat Support Close Combat Support

Since 3.15, we no longer use Impale Support Impale Support, as we can reach 100% without it and save ourselves the (now) wasted gem slot.

Ancestral Warchief (3-Socket)

Vaal Ancestral Warchief Vaal Ancestral Warchief will be your boss buff, which you can place down to gain a large boost in your damage for a short time. Place it together with your Blood Rage Blood Rage and Portal Portal gems into one of your weapons. Use your Blood Rage Blood Rage on cooldown. You want to make sure it is active 24/7.

  1. Vaal Ancestral Warchief Vaal Ancestral Warchief
  2. Blood Rage Blood Rage
  3. Portal Portal

Leap Slam (3-Link)

Leap Slam Leap Slam is your main mobility skill which will let you dodge lethal game mechanics and make you more time-efficient in general, by allowing you to cover great distances very rapidly and also jump over pit-falls or other environmental blocks.

  1. Leap Slam Leap Slam
  2. Faster Attacks Support Faster Attacks Support
  3. Lifetap Support Lifetap Support OR Endurance Charge on Melee Stun Support Endurance Charge on Melee Stun Support OR Culling Strike Support Culling Strike Support

Vaal Molten Shell (4-Link)

Vaal Molten Shell Vaal Molten Shell provides great damage mitigation when needed, the skill must be activated manually for maximum efficiency. Be advised, that despite VMS being linked with Cast when Damage Taken Support Cast when Damage Taken Support, you will still have to activate it manually, as it will be too high level to automatically trigger. We simply make use of the Increased Duration Support Increased Duration Support socketed in the same 4-link, to apply it to both the Enfeeble Enfeeble being triggered by CWDT, as well as our VMS.

  1. Vaal Molten Shell Vaal Molten Shell
  2. Increased Duration Support Increased Duration Support
  3. Cast when Damage Taken Support Cast when Damage Taken Support
  4. Enfeeble Enfeeble

Other Gems

Pride Pride, Blood and Sand Blood and Sand and Flesh and Stone Flesh and Stone and Dread Banner Dread Banner is your ideal buff setup; you will likely require at least one Enlighten Support Enlighten Support in order to properly fit everything, depending on your Mana pool.

Blood Rage Blood Rage should be active all the time. Discipline Discipline can be 2-Linked with Arrogance Support Arrogance Support in order to have a way to trigger First to Strike, Last to Fall, if you decide to pick it up later on, as mentioned in the PoB Notes section.

  • Guide checked for 3.14 Ultimatum and deemed viable (no changes needed).

  • Updated (minor update needed only) for Ritual 3.13.

  • Build evaluated and deemed up to date for Heist 3.12!

  • Fixed some minor spelling and grammar mistakes.

  • Build is now maintained by LunaWolve, and has received a considerable rework and upgrade.

  • Revisited and updated for Harvest 3.11. The build lost some damage via the nerf to dual wield but after all it is still a solid choice and plays out as before.

  • Revisited and updated for Delirium 3.10. The build remains as solid as before, or even better, considering new Cluster Jewel notables.

  • Revisited and updated for Metamorph 3.9. The buffs to monster Armour hurt Cyclone in general but the new nodes for Impale and Armour penetration balance out this negative change for the build.

  • Revisited and updated for Blight 3.8. The build got nerfed via the Cyclone changes. Impale remains the same on the other hand, which is surprising, considering how strong it is. The build is still very solid overall.

  • Build added.
