Path of Building – Passive Skill Tree

Path of Building is a third-party tool used for planning characters. It has information for the passive tree, skill gems, and gear. It is an essential tool for playing PoE.

Bloodline Ascendancy Options

Aul grants 15% increased Global Defences as a small passive, and a customizable defensive option with Precursor’s Release.

The best bonus from Precursor’s Release is “Take no Extra Damage from Critical Strikes,” which is granted by having no socketed gems in your gloves.

This build has very few mandatory gems, so an empty 4-link is a minor tradeoff. Dropping Pyromaniac from the Saboteur tree is worth the cost. The only downside is that you will have to run Delves to unlock Aul’s Bloodline.

Exceptional Support Gems

Exceptional Support Gems are a new mechanic added in Patch 3.28 to replace Awakened Support Gems. None of them are particularly useful for this build.

Gem Setups

Increasing your gem levels is important for maximizing damage, so level up your gems any time you can. You can apply quality to them using Gemcutter's Prism.

Main 6-Link (Body Armour)

Sticking with a 21/20 Pyroclast Mine is cheaper and better than going after a level 1 support gem through the Mirage League coin system.

Auras

Linking your Skitterbots to Unbound Ailments will increase the magnitude of the shock and chill effects they apply.

You can link the following auras together if you want to benefit from reservation efficiency bonuses, such as Clarity Clarity or the Hunter/Shaper Shield modifier “Socketed Gems have 30% increased Reservation Efficiency.” You can keep Clarity at level 10 so that its mana reservation remains fairly cheap.
