Progression Advice

The Path of Building offers a couple passive trees which should guide you through the leveling. If you follow those, you’ll be at end game in no time. Additionally, some step up gem sets & gear sets are provided starting at maps.

Gem Links

Shockwave Totem – Main Link (6-Link)

Shockwave Totem really wants the Empower support as it scales really well with levels. Potential candidates to replace this slot before you obtain the Empower are Awakened Added Fire Damage, Cruelty or potentially Concentrated Effect if you can stand playing with less area of effect.

Movement & Utility

Molten Shell is there only to buff your survivability either when you ought it necessary, or automated if you put in on Left Click. The Flame Dash is the movement skill of choice.

Auras

This build runs a plethora of Auras. Make sure to check the PoB if you’re not yet at all the components necessary to get enough mana to run all of them. Once you have all sources of mana reservation efficiency, the socketing goes as follows.

In your Increased Reservation Efficiency Shield (make sure to check the gear section in order to comprehend how to easily make this item):

1. Hatred
2. Zealotry
3. Enlighten Support (3)

Unless you have a +1 AoE Gem craft on your helmet, the other auras can go in whichever 4-link, when you do have this craft, you want to make sure you socket them in there to obtain the +1 to levels for your auras.

1. Determination
2. Enlighten Support (3)
3. Defiance Banner
4. Grace

Another 4-Link with Divine Blessing Support which you can activate by spending all of your Energy Shield. In order for this to work, you’ll need enough Energy Shield to cast this. A level 1 Divine Blessing will make this cast cheaper, but will make the duration of the Aura shorter. This is pretty much preference.

3. Inspiration Support
4. Increased Duration Support

Double Curse

This buff should only be used versus bosses, as you should have no issue dealing with trash mobs anyhow. Drop the arcanist brand and it’ll automatically apply both curses & exposure through Frost Bomb. The Frost Bomb here is basically only relevant versus high end bosses because the build will have a reliable other source of exposure through Awakened Cold Penetration. Before you get the Awakened Cold Penetration Support, you can get a source of instant exposure by using the Cold Mastery that grants cold Exposure on hit.

1. Arcanist Brand
2. Frostbite
3. Elemental Weakness
4. Frost Bomb

Tip: At the cost of 20% DPS, you could swap one of the curses for Enfeeble, which will make you take a LOT less damage whenever you apply the brand.
*_Note : If you opt into the unique jewel The Balance of Terror, you will have to manually apply the Elemental Weakness to get the massive bonus.*_
