Ascendancy

Optimal Ascension Points – Ranger/Pathfinder

Completing each tier of the Eternal Labyrinth grants you two Ascendancy Passive Points up to a total of eight. These bonuses are a huge source of your character’s power. The Labyrinth is filled with traps and a dangerous final boss, Izaro, and while it is not generally difficult for experienced players, it can be challenging for newcomers. We recommend attempting the Labyrinth at the following character progression milestones:

Normal Labyrinth

The base Eternal Labyrinth is tuned for level 33 players. If you can clear Act 3 safely, you should have little trouble with the Labyrinth, so head there once you get to Act 4 town for the first time.

Cruel Labyrinth

The second version of the Labyrinth is tuned for level 55 players. Once you’ve reached Act 8 town, you should be ready to handle the Cruel Labyrinth.

Merciless Labyrinth

Because killing Kitava at the end of Act 10 reduces your resistances by 30%, you should try to complete the Merciless Labyrinth first. It is tuned for level 68 players, so clear out the rest of Act 10’s side quests, then head into the Labyrinth for a third time before going to The Canals to take down Kitava.

Uber Labyrinth

The fourth and final Labyrinth, the Uber Labyrinth, is balanced for players who are comfortably clearing red-tier maps. Once you’re able to handle Tier 14 maps, you should be ready to kill Izaro for the fourth (and possibly final) time.

Order of Ascension

We recommend taking your Ascendancy Notable Passive Skills in the following order:

  1. Nature’s Reprisal
  2. Nature’s Adrenaline
  3. Master Surgeon
  4. Nature’s Boon

as

Pantheons

Enabling Pantheons

Pantheons are passive bonuses introduced into the game by killing Tukohama in Act 6. When you kill the Brine King at the end of Act 6, you should allocate his Pantheon bonus and keep it active until late in the endgame.

Late Game Pantheons

We recommend using Soul of the Brine King and Soul of Ryslatha Pantheons as soon as they are available. You can swap to Soul of Lunaris once you are elemental ailment immune in the endgame.

Upgrading Pantheons

Upgrading Pantheons is a big source of character power. You can upgrade them by putting a Divine Vessel Divine Vessel into the Map Device along with the correct map. The in-game Atlas shows you which maps correspond to the Pantheon you want to upgrade.

Bandits

Where to Find Them

Deal with the Bandits is a quest you must finish to progress through Act II. You can complete the quest by killing all three bandits, or by killing two and helping another. The bonuses provided for helping each Bandit are as follows:

  • Alira: +15% to All Elemental Resistances
  • Oak: +40 Maximum Life
  • Kraityn: +8% Movement Speed

If you kill all three, Eramir will grant you an additional skill point.

You can change your Bandit Quest reward by trading in 20 Regret Orbs and the correct type of amulet to a vendor.

Which One to Use

We recommend helping Alira in the campaign, then swapping to Eramir’s bonus (this requires an Onyx Amulet) once in maps.
