How to use the Shark Fin for “Tribal Medicine” in Path of Exile 2

Obtaining Shark Fin

The Shark Fin is an item drop from an optional boss called Great White One. You can find this further into the island of Whakapanu along the shoreline. The portion of the map is specifically called the “Shark Pit”, and can be seen in the image below. Defeat Great White One and the shark will drop the quest item required for completion of of “Tribal Medicine”.

Turning in Tribal Medicine

Given how bulky quest items can be in Path of Exile 2, it’s best to get this item out of your inventory sooner rather than later. Feel free to complete your main quests on Whakapanu Island if needed. Portal back to Kingsmarch and talk to Makoru to sail to Ngakanu. The Shark Fin will need to be given to Kaimana who can be found at the end of the village you enter upon docking on the island.

Tribal Medicine Quest Rewards

As of Patch 0.5, the rewards on this item have been changed. Rather than Skill Gems and Support Gems, this quest now offers a choice between permanent. You can cheese between:

• Increased Evasion, Armour, and Energy Shield
• Increased Armour applies to Elemental Damage, Deflection, and Energy Shield Recharge
