Introduction
Turn every kill into a payday with massive Item Rarity and ruthless Culling Strikes.
The Rarity Cull Bot Ritualist is a specialized party/support build designed to maximize loot and currency by stacking really high Increased Rarity of Items Found and instantly killing a large majority of enemies through Culling Strike. In order to get the bonus of all that Increased Rarity of Items Found, you must get the killing blow. That’s where the Culling Strike comes in. Rather than dealing meaningful damage yourself, the build uses
Spark to constantly hit mobs and gives the best chance of dropping the most currency and items as possible
This is possible due to high Culling Strike Threshold from items like
Horror’s Flight,
Myris Uxor,
Heart of the Well, and some important passive nodes like Bounty Hunter, Cull the Hordes, Hunting Companion and Culling Strike Threshold. The goal is to get 234% Culling Strike Threshold in order to one shot any Normal and Magic Monsters. Rare Monsters instantly die at 54% Hp and Unique/Bosses die at 10%.
The build requires high Increased Rarity of Items Found, which can be pricey depending on your budget. Both
Mageblood and
Ingenuity are a large part of your Rarity, and thanks to the Ritualist Ascendancy, you have a third ring slot, allowing you to equip three
Andvarius or two and a
Kalandra’s Touch. Combine those with
Greed’s Embrace and an Amulet with as much Rarity as possible and you can get as high as 650%+.
This is a party-only build. You party handles all the damage, largely on rares and bosses. As long as we deal 1 point of damage we get our Culls. Our job is to stay alive, keep ahead of the group, spam
Spark and get our killing blows. You can’t clear maps solo, but you’ll be the #1 pick for any serious farming groups.
Strengths and Weaknesses
- 600+ Item Rarity
- One shots Normal & Magic monsters, Rares die at 54%
- Tanky
- Highly customizable
- Not solo friendly/, you need party. The build does very little self damage.
- Rarity Gear can be expensive, and itemization is made harder by having less affix slots
Build Mechanics
At its core, the Rarity Cull Bot combines extremely high Increased Rarity of Items Found with Culling Strike. Your Item Rarity only matters when you receive credit for the kill, meaning you MUST get the killing blow. The goal is to let your carry deal the damage while you secure the killing blow. All Normal and Magic enemies will be one shot, so the only time your party should worry about damage is on Rares and Bosses, since your Cull doesn’t kick in until 54%.
The build accomplishes this through:
- Culling Strike:
Horror’s Flight is a mandatory item for the build. It grants Fear Incarnate, which gives 10% increased Culling Strike Threshold whenever you Cull a target, stacking up to 20 times. This allows you to permanently have an additional 200% Culling Strike Threshold. - Culling Strike Threshold:
Myris Uxor is the other mandatory item. This gives you a massive 100% increased Culling Strike Threshold. With this, we stack as much increased Culling Strike Threshold as possible. With enough investment, Normal and Magic enemies can be instantly Culled as soon as your Spark touches them, while Rare is at 54%, and Unique and Bosses are at 10%.
Spark is our only cast and is used for coverage and speed, not damage. Its job is to constantly fill the screen and beyond with Hits so that the moment an enemy enters your Cull range, giving you a much easier chance at getting the killing blow.
Spark is unique in that it is one of the only spells that can kill off screen, mixed with how cheap it is on mana thanks to using a Level 7
Spark has a very low mana cost while still getting six projectiles from it. Once you get more gear and can afford the mana, you can use Level 11 for an addition two projectiles.- Cast Speed and Projectile Speed: More Cast Speed means more Spark projectiles on screen, while Projectile Speed helps those Sparks travel much fast and reach enemies before your carry kills them.
- Skill Effect Duration and Pierce: Longer lasting, piercing Sparks give you better coverage while moving, Dodge Rolling, or repositioning with your party.
Because the build does not need to scale meaningful damage, most of our remaining investment can go into Item Rarity, Culling Strike Threshold, Energy Shield, Resistances, Cast Speed, and mobility.
Ascendancy
The Ritualist Ascendancy is the backbone of this build because it gives us an additional Ring slot, allowing us to equip and additional
Andvarius and increases the effect of our equipped Rings and Amulet by 25%. Since Jewelry is one of our largest sources of Item Rarity, these bonuses are extremely valuable for pushing the build into very high Rarity totals and setting you apart from other Rarity Cull players.
- Unfurled Finger: This gives you an additional ring slot, totaling in three. Supplying a MASSIVE Rarity boost.
- Mystic Attunement: This increases bonuses gained from your Rings and Amulets, giving you even more Rarity.
- Intricate Sigils: This gives you an extra Charm slot, as well as 20% more Charm Charges gained.
- Mind Phylacteries: This allows you to consume 25 of your maximum Mana to trigger your charms whenever you run out of Charges.
Skill Tree
This interactive skill tree will provide you with an overview of the final state of the build. When assigning travel Attribute Nodes, you will want to account for the requirements of your Skill Gems and Gear, and may have to respec some nodes as you find upgrades and progress. You only need 84 Strength and 80 Dexterity. The rest is all put in to Intellect. Work your way around the outer circle picking up as many Jewel Sockets as possible.
Gem Setup
The Rarity Cull Bot does not scale damage, so our Gem setup is focused entirely on Spark coverage, Cast Speed, Projectile Speed, survivability, and utility. Spark only needs to hit enemies while they are within our Culling Strike range to kill them, so damage-focused Supports are completely unnecessary.
Spark is our primary Culling skill. The goal is to fill as much of the screen as possible with, fast-moving, long lasting projectiles that go off screen.
- Prolonged Duration II: Keeps Sparks active for longer, giving us more chances to Cull while moving or Dodge Rolling.
- Pierce III: Allows Spark to travel through enemies instead of disappearing on the first target.
- Rapid Casting II: More Cast Speed means more Sparks and more opportunities to land the Cull before your carry kills the enemy.
- Vilenta’s Propulsion: Converts a portion of our Cast Speed scaling into Projectile Speed, significantly improving Spark coverage.
- Sione’s Temper: Adds additional projectile generation for even greater screen coverage.
We intentionally keep
Spark at Level 7, as this negates the mane cost, while still giving you the 6 projectiles. Once you get more gear and can afford the mana you can use Level 11 for an additional two projectiles. We do not care about its damage, and the higher the level of
Spark, the more mana it costs. The goal is simply to maintain the projectile count and coverage we need while keeping Mana consumption as low as possible. This is especially important because Mana is also used by several of our defensive and utility mechanics.
Convalescence is our main defensive recovery skill that instantly regenerates out Energy Shield and should be used whenever you are low, or are about to take heavy damage. Due to us using Chaos Inoculation, we have 1HP, meaning our Energy Shield is our lifeblood.
Cooldown Recovery II: Increases the cooldown rate by 30%.
Second Wind III: Gives you an extra use of
Convalescence, while also healing you while active.
Second Wind III gives you an additional use, but be careful not to burn both charges during panic situations.
Convalescence cannot be activated cleanly while you are locked into casting
Spark, so you need to stop casting before using it.
Blasphemy provides defensive utility by applying curses to enemies that get close to you. There’s many curses that you can use to fit your party needs. The below is the safest option unless
Temporal Chains is covered by somebody else in the party or you have a Curse/Aura bot in the group.
Temporal Chains: Slows any enemy within your aura range. Very nice to help keep you safe.
Slow Potency: Increases the slow of Temporal Chains by an additional 15%.
Magnified Area II: Makes your Aura range 45% larger.
Ritualistic Curse: Makes your Aura range even larger by 50% as well as making Temporal Chains erupt faster.- Optional –
Cool Headed
Temporal Chains slows enemy movement and action speed, making dangerous packs considerably easier to avoid.
You can replace
Blasphemy with
Blink when playing with a fast-moving party or if your parties monkey is going on a rampage.
Blasphemy is generally better when survivability matters, while
Blink is better when keeping up with your carry is the bigger problem
If you are on a cheaper budget and using
Palm of the Dreamer, it allows you to use
Impurity for free. This is less about the free Chaos Resistance, and more to just get more active support gems slotted for no cost.

Her Declaration: Enemies entering your presence while
Impurity is active are Intimidated for 4 seconds, which makes all enemies take 10% more damage from you, while also making them deal 10% less damage.
Seraph’s Heart: Gives all enemy hits a 20% chance to treat your Resistances be 90% while
Impurity is active
Clarity II: Gives you 50% increased Mana Regeneration while
Impurity is active.
Warm Blooded: Makes all Freeze Durations last 50% less.
Skill Rotation
The rotation is extraordinarily simple, but positioning matters. Your goal is to have
Spark already covering enemies before your carry finishes them, so you can secure the killing blow. This means constantly sprinting and rolling ahead of your party to ensure you’re shooting out as many Sparks as you can to ensure that get the killing blow. The biggest mistake is reacting too late. Your Sparks should reach the pack before the carry’s damage does whenever possible.
- Continuously cast
Spark while moving with your party. - Try to stay slightly ahead of party so your Sparks reach enemies before they die.
- Keep moving between casts and use Dodge Roll to avoid dangerous mechanics.
- Once Fear Incarnate reaches 20 stacks, maintain your 200% increased Culling Strike Threshold by continuing to Cull enemies.
- Use
Convalescence whenever your Energy Shield takes heavy damage.
Fast Groups
- Swap
Blasphemy for
Blink if you are struggling to keep up with your carry. - Always prioritize staying with the group over stopping to loot. If you fall behind, you cannot Cull.
Gearing
In the table below, you will see a breakdown of the most important affixes for each gear slot, as well as what unique items the build uses. These are listed in order of priority, so consider your gearing options carefully.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure that you are capped at 75% Elemental Resistances and meet all Attribute Requirements when you are changing gear pieces. Since we’re wearing so many uniques, we are very tight on Elemental resistances. You do not need any Chaos Resistances due to Chaos Inoculation.
| Slot | Base | Prefix | Suffix | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Main Hand | Runeseeker’s CallRare Siphoning Wand | 1. +160 to Maximum Mana 2. 65% Increased spirit 3. Allies in your presence deal 115% increased damage | 1. 35% Increased Cast Speed 2. +30 to Intellect 3. Gain 45 Mana per Enemy Killed | Runeseeker’s Call is much better and worth getting even at base item with 5 Sockets. The stats listed are for the Scepter, which is listed as a placeholder until you can obtain Runeseeker’s Call. Siphoning Wand is a great placeholder due to the large amount of Cast speed and it comes with |
| Off Hand | Energy Shield(Energy Shield) | 1. +80 to Maximum Energy Shield 2. 100% Increased Energy Shield 3. +150 to Maximum Mana | 1. 43% Fire Resistance 2. 43% Cold Resistance 3. 43% Lightning Resistance | Change the Suffixes to make sure you’re capped at 75% Elemental Resistances. |
| Helm | Myris Uxor | 1. 60% increased Evasion Rating 2. +150 Accuracy Rating | 1. 100% Increased Culling Strike Threshold 2. +60 to Maximum Mana | Make sure you get these with 100% Culling Strike Threshold! You can get up to 130% and 5% Elemental Resistance if you have the budget. You can alternatively get this Raven-Touched instead of Horror’s Flight. If so, make sure to Instill Hunting Companion. |
| Body | Greed’s Embrace | 1. 170% increased Armour 2. 35% increased Strength Requirement 3. | 1. 60% increased Rarity of Items found 2. 25% Fire Resistance 3. | You can get this without the reduction to movement speed penalty, as well as up to four sockets. |
| Gloves | Horror’s Flight(Instill: Hunting Companion) | 1. 365% increased Evasion Rating 2. 7% increased Attack Speed | 1. +14 to Dexterity 2. Adds 20 to 34 Chaos Damage to Attacks 3.Gain 1 Fear Incarnate when you Cull a target | Make sure to get this Raven-Touched. Unless you’re using that on your Helmet. |
| Boots | Rare Boots (Energy Shield) | 1. 35% Increased Movement Speed 2. +50 Maximum Energy Shield 3. 100% Increased Energy Shield | 1. 15% Rarity of Items Found 2. Refer to the Jewel section for the best choices. Change the Suffixes to make sure you’re capped at 75% Elemental Resistances. |
| Belt | Mageblood | 1. All Mage’s Legacies have 50% increased effect per duplicate Mage’s Legacy you have. | The best option is four Gold Legacies(45% Rarity). If that is too pricey, then Bismuth(45% Elemental Resistance) is great if you are still hurting for Elemental Resistances. Quicksilver(30% Movement Speed) is nice to stay ahead of your party. | |
| Rings | Andvarius Andvarius Kalandra’s Touch | 1. 100% increased Rarity of Items found 2. 3. | 1. -15% Elemental Resistance 2. 3. | You want this is all THREE of your Ring slots. Slot one Kalandra’s Touch in if you can get it to drop or cheaper than Andvarius. |

Instilling Your Amulet
To gain access to the ability to instill(also known as an anoint) your Amulet, you will need to progress the Delirium Questline in the Endgame mapping system. When done, you will be able to combine three Delirium Liquids in a certain order and instill your Amulet, which rewards you by giving you a free notable node from your Passive tree.
We have two choices that we need to obtain. Hunting Companion and Cull the Horde. One goes on the Amulet, the other will be instill from your Raven-Touched
Horror’s Flight. Raven-Touched comes from a Raven-Touched Shard, which when socketed, it makes Helmets Raven-Touched, allowing you to Instill another notable passive. Tangmazu, the Raven Trickster has lower chance to drop the shard, as well as an even lower chance to drop one of four items, one of them being our coveted
Horror’s Flight. You can alternatively buy a
Horror’s Flight from the Trade Market, and if you’re really struggling, you can buy a Raven-Touched Shard from the currency exhange and use it to instill Cull the Horde on your helmet.
- Hunting Companion – Increases your total Culling Strike Threshold by an additonal 20%.
- Cull the Horde – Increases our Culling Strike Threshold by 40% against Rares and Unique enemies. This is nice because they’re the only kind of enemies we can’t one shot, so gettting more Culling Strike Threshold for them is perfect.
Mandatory Unique Items
Horror’s Flight grants you one stack of Fear Incarnate, which grants 10% Cull Strike Threshold whenever you Cull a target, up to 20 stacks. This allows you to permanently have an additional 200% Culling Strike Threshold. It’s vital to make sure that you get one with Raven-Touched on it, as this allows you to annoint your gloves with either Hunting Companion or Cull the Hordes.
Myris Uxor Gives you 100% increased Culling Strike Threshold. This is needed in order to reach the proper threshold to be able to Cull Normal and Magic monsters at 100%, Rares at at 54%, and Unique and Bosses are at 10%.
Greed’s Embrace This is a very good chest piece and favored due to the 50% Rarity and the Fire Resistance. Beware that this also comes with a 20% reduction to movement speed.
Andvarius These are mandatory to put in all three ring slots. Each one gives you up to 100% Rarity and they stack, meaning three of them equate to roughly HALF of your total Rarity.
Kalandra’s Touch will mirror your ring, so feel free to pick up one of them if it’s cheaper than
Andvarius
Mageblood or
Ingenuity The belt you choose is up to you budget.
Mageblood is MUCH better thanks to being able to stack the ‘Gold’ Legacy, giving you a MASSIVE amount of Rarity. You can get four Gold Legacies, or opt for two Gold Legacies and Bismuth to help with your Elemental Resistances.
Optional Unique Options
Runeseeker’s Call is the best weapon that you can get, but it comes at a price. The prices vary depending on if you get the Runemastered one or the base one, which is significantly cheaper. You can also get them with 5 or 6 sockets. However if you can afford it, it’s a great option to save up for. This gives you 200% increased effect on each socket that you put in there. This is a phenomenal way to get an abundance of Energy Shield from slotting in all Perfect Body Rune’s, resulting in +900 Maximum Energy Shield.
Palm of the Dreamer This is a great scepter that doesn’t come with any Energy Shield or Elemental Resistances, but comes with 100 Spirit which is great if you find yourself struggling to pick up Spirit on your Amulet and Chest. This is only used if you are not using
Runeseeker’s Call. One of the most intriguing parts of this is that it gives you and your party the Dreaming Gloom Shrine effect, which is just like the Chaos corpse explosion shrine you see in maps occasionally. This is great for not only damage, but helps with your cull as well since the explosion counts for your killing blow, regardless of who in your party got the explosion. Equipping this also allows you to use the skill
Impurity and any linked supporting gems for zero Spirit. This buff is mainly for Chaos Resistance, which doesn’t help you out, since we take Chaos Inoculation in the passive tree, but it will help your party members out tremendously.
Morior Invictus is a great option that many Rarity players choose over
Greed’s Embrace. You lose the 50% Rarity, however you can socket in a Rabbit Idol for 12%, so you’re only losing 38% Rarity, in lieu of receiving 5 sockets and massive bonuses that get higher per socket that you have filled. This is great because you can get up to 10% to all Elemental Resistances per socket filled and get a very helpful 50% to all Elemental Resistances. Both Maximum Mana and Spirit per socket filled is very helpful as well.
Kalandra’s Touch is great to go into a ring slot, since we have three given to use from our Ritualist Ascendency Tree. All three ring slots should have
Andvarius in them, so choose between them based on which you can get cheaper.
Aurseize is an option if for some reason you can’t get your hands on
Horror’s Flight. This gives you some more Rarity at the cost of a 100% Culling Strike Threshold. This is almost never worth it, but I wanted to mention it if you need a cheap and helpful placehold until you get the correct version of
Horror’s Flight.
Augments
This table will show you what Augments are used for each gear slot.
| Slot | Socketable |
|---|---|
| Main Hand | Perfect Body Runes |
| Off Hand | Perfect Iron Rune |
| Helm | Soul core of Citaqualotl |
| Body Armour | Rabbit Idol/Perfect Storm Rune** |
| Gloves | Legacy of Deathblow |
| Boots | Cadigan’s Epiphany* |
Jewels
Your Jewel choices are vital to your build. These will help you in achieving your Culling Strike Threshold, your Elemental resistances and your much needed Energy Shield.
Split Personality This Jewel allows you to start putting your passive points starting from the Sorceress’s starting point, rather than at the Huntress Starting Point. While the build is possible without this, I would say this is borderline mandatory in order to maximize your energy Shield gains. You gain too much Maximum Energy Shield to give up the far inferior stats that you’d be stuck with if you had to slot in the starting passives from the Huntress. Note that when you build your tree that you must route from the Huntress starting point and work your way to the first Jewel slot in front of the Soreress’s starting point, then continue working your way to the first point for the Sorceress. Only at that point will the game let you start refunding your points from the Huntress starting point.
Heart of the Well It’s vital that you get one with atleast 25% Culling Strike Threshold on it. As for the other stats, you want to choose a mix of % to all Maximum Elemental Resistances, % Cast Speed, % Skill Speed, % Movement Speed and % increased Energy Shield from Equipped Body Armour if you’re not using
Greed’s Embrace.
Grand Spectrum The Sapphire version gives you 6-7% to all Elemental Resistances per socketed Grand Spectrum, stacking three times. Ideally you want three of these, as they will give you a much needed 18-21% Elemental Resistances.
Voices It goes without saying that this highly coveted Jewel is helpful. This gives you up to 4 extra Jewel Sockets, at a very hefty price. If you have the budget or are lucky enough to get one to drop, make sure to slot in the Rare Sapphire Jewels listed below.- Rare Sapphire Jewels For the rest of the Jewel sockets, Look for % Increased Maximum Energy Shield, % Increased Cast Speed, % Faster start to Energy Shield Recharge and % Increased Energy Shield from Equipped Focus.
Flasks and Charms
The recommended setup for your flasks and charms is:
- Life Flask: Due to the Chaos Inoculation node in our Passive tree, we have 1 Health and have no use for Life Flasks. If you choose to not take Chaos Inoculation, then use a Life flask with % Recovery applied Instantly | % reduced Charges per use
- Mana Flask –
Lavianga’s Spirits We use this full time. This makes your mana flask become passive and constantly give you mana. - Charms –
Nascent Hope,
The Fall of the Axe,
Rite of Passage Spirit of the Owl
- Note:
Rite of Passage Rarity bonus does not stack.
