Ascendancy (Witch – Elementalist)

Mastermind of Discord

This makes you exposure insanly strong by adding an extra -25% if you apply exposure. A great source of conditional damage to tackle tougher opponents while progression.

Heart of Destruction

Heart of Destruction is what puts this build up there when it comes to single target. Convergence is another 25% more multiplier when you’re fighting bosses or tougher enemies and therefore nets you a pretty significant chunk of damage whilst fighting those. While the area of effect is of little to no use to us, the node still remains really strong.

Bastion of Elements

This notable makes you super tanky against Elemental Damage. Through another 2-2500 Flat healt versus Elemental Damage, you’re combining a ton of mitigation & a ton of effective HP pool to tackle this.

Shaper of Winter

Lastly, the best of the rest is probably Shaper of Winter. While you could opt into Shaper of Storms, I don’t think it matters enough to warrant the investment. Eventually, at high end levels of gear, you could also opt to drop Bastion & this node in favor of Elemancer and stack some high alternate quality Golems for their buffs but generally, forcing things to be chilled with SoW is really solid.

Bandits

There really only is one option here. You want to help Alira for the Critical Strike Multiplier and the Resistances. Capping Resistances without her is too hard and we’re pretty happily accepting some Crit Multiplier too!

Pantheons

Major Gods

Soul of the Brine King is a must, because it’s your way of becoming immune to Freeze. Make sure to upgrade it.

Minor Gods

I would recommend Soul of Abberath as playing (and trying to avoid or deal) with burning ground is absolutely stupid. Make sure to upgrade this pantheon as well because otherwise it wont be giving you what you need from it.

Upgrading your Pantheons

Whilst upgrading your Pantheons never hurts you, it’s vital for this character.

Pantheon powers can be upgraded by using Divine Vessel in the Map Device while you are activating the particular Map that contains the boss you need. Once you’ve killed the boss and captured his soul, you can consume the Divine Vessel, which’ll show up filled in the map device, or deliver it to Sin in Oriath for extra dialogue relating to the game’s lore.
