Passive Skill Tree, PoB, and Gem Links

You can find an optimized Path of Building here Every build I release will use the community fork of Path of Building, which is maintained and updated in a much more regular fashion than the original one. You can find PoB’s Fork, by LocalIdentity, here.

If you are not comfortable with Path of Building, PoePlanner’s website offers you a non-PoB alternative to import the pastebin into.

Progression Advice

The Path of Building offers a couple of passive trees which should guide you through the levelling. If you follow those, you’ll be at the end game in no time. Additionally, some step up gem sets & gear sets are provided starting at maps.

Gem Links

Cyclone – Main Link (6-Link)

Cyclone’s Damage will scale really hard if you can get level 5 versions of the 2 suggested awakened gems. If you’re not playing enough to get those to level 5 fast, I recommend buying level 5’s.

1. Cyclone
2. Close Combat Support
3. Awakened Melee Physical Damage Support
4. Awakened Brutality Support
5. Infused Channelling Support
6. Impale Support

Movement & 2nd Curse

Use the Mark on Hit as early as you can – Upgrade to the Curse on Hit ring + this Mark on Hit support as soon as you get a source of Double Curse.

1. Leap Slam
2. Lifetap Support
3. Assassin's Mark
4. Mark On Hit Support

Auras

This build runs a plethora of Auras. Make sure to check the PoB if you’re not yet at all the components necessary to get enough mana to run all of them.

1. Blood and Sand
2. Flesh and Stone
3. Determination
4. Pride
5. Dread Banner
6. Enlighten Support (L3 works, L4 is better)

Socketed anywhere else

1. Precision (+- L12 – You can play around with this – Depends on your total mana, your character level, …)

Utility

1. Molten Shell (Vaal Molten Shell is nice if you’re okay with pressing a lot of buttons)
2. Blood Rage (Anomalous is huge versus bosses)
3. Berserk

Buffs

You’re a melee build. Melee builds are always kind of half totem builds as you cannot not have a Vaal AWC & an Ancestral Protector as the damage they offer is just too incredible. Link them to a Maim for even more buff power. Press both buttons once before engaging with a boss (or a challenging mechanic like expedition)
