Ascendancy (Ranger – Pathfinder)

Nature’s Adrenaline

Honestly, Pathfinders Ascendancy order doesn’t matter the greatest deal and depends heavily on how you’re levelling. If you’re leveling as poison, you might want to take the two Poison Related ascendancy points first. However, if you’re leveling with some leveling gear and as another kind of build, Nature’s Adrenaline is nice for Flask Uptime.

Master Toxicist

Master Toxicist grants you another source of More Damage through its “Poisons you inflict during Flask Effect have a 20% chance to deal 100% more Damage”. This effectively gives you 20% More Damage which is incredible. Additionally, it also makes your poisons spread which helps a tremendous amount with clear.

Nature’s Reprisal

This easily helps you hit Wither Cap which is a huge part of your characters damage. Additionally, you’re also getting more out of the wither setup through its increased Effect. Solid Poison / Chaos notable and one you definitely want on this build.

Nature’s Boon

A small boost to Damage and Survivability. Make sure you flask setup is catered around this to avoid using this Ascendancy on bad flasks.

Master Surgeon

This ascendancy point can be picked if you’re looking for sources of recovery, especially earlier on your characters progression instead of Nature’s Boon. If you roll a longlasting high life recovery Life Flask, this Ascendancy point is basically making you immune to non-oneshot deaths. Try it out, see if you like Nature’s Boon or Master Surgeon better. It’s very preference-oriented.

Bandits

Even though some of the Bandit choices are okay there are just too many Passive Skill Points you’d rather take. Definitely kill all and take your 2 Skill Points from Eramir.

Pantheons

Major Gods

Soul of Solaris is for sure the nicest pick here. Physical Damage is what gets us the most and we don’t have any extra mitigation against overlapping Area Damage Hits.

Minor Gods

I think Soul of Shakari is optimal here. The 5% Reduced Chaos Damage Taken amplifies the Physical Damage Reduction we’re getting as we’re converting 25% of Incoming Physical Damage to Chaos Damage. Additionally, Caustic Ground is really annoying and taking less damage on it feels really nice.

Upgrading your Pantheons

Whilst upgrading your Pantheons never hurts you, there’s only one Pantheon you should really upgrade on this build. Upgrading this will grant you an extra 8% Reduced Elemental Damage taken if you haven’t been Hit Recently which further lowers the chance of us getting one-shot.

Pantheon powers can be upgraded by using Divine Vessel Divine Vessel in the Map Device while you are activating the particular Map that contains the boss you need. Once you’ve killed the boss and captured his soul, you can consume the Divine Vessel Divine Vessel, which’ll show up filled in the map device, or deliver it to Sin in Oriath for extra dialogue relating to the game’s lore.
