GhazzyTV's Spectre Summoner Necromancer Gear, Jewels & Flasks (PoE Curse of the Allflame)
Summary
Cap your Elemental Resistances and get the attributes your gems require to make sure you can use them all. The pieces should be Rare with Life and, of course, any lacking Attributes or Resistances. If you are able to get Minion damage on items such as
Bone Ring, this can be a great addition.
We also have a video explaining gear progression and how to optimize your Raise Spectre journey.
My quick list of recommended approaches for this build would be:
| Item Slot | Item Name | Rarity |
|---|---|---|
| Head | Life then Res/Attributes, +1-2 level of all Minion skills | Rare |
| Amulet | The Jinxed Juju |
Rare or Unique |
| Chest | Life then Res/Attributes as needed (Higher budget can get a Delve dropped chest with “+1 to maximum Spectres”) | Rare |
| Gloves | Life then Res/Attributes as needed | Rare |
| Boots | Bones of Ullr |
Unique |
| Belt | Darkness Enthroned |
Unique |
| Rings | Life then Res/Attributes as needed or |
Rare |
| Weapon | Minion Damage with +1 level of spells and/or Minion gems Wand | Rare |
| Shield | Rare with +1 level of all Minion skills, life and preferably Resistances. | Rare or Unique |
Crafting
Since a lot of the gear can be self-crafted, especially when it comes to the higher budget versions, you can check out my crafting guides in my hub here which I will be consistently adding more crafting guides to!
Armour Pieces
A lot of the higher budget examples can either be purchased or crafted, and when crafted, I would strongly suggest utilizing Craft of Exile to determine the cheapest approach to crafting the desired items.
Since most items in this build are Rare, the main focus should be to stack as much Life as possible and balance any Attributes and Resistances to reach the desired caps. However, with that said, there are some juicy choices one can take to increase the build’s efficiency, although it does come with a higher price tag.
Helmet
High Life, Resistances, and Attributes as needed, getting level of all Minion gems should be considered a very high priority.

Modifier Priority List:
1. Life
2. Level of all Minion skill gems
3. Elemental Resistances if needed
4. Attributes if needed
5. Chaos Resistance (this is probably extra, prioritise +2 Minions over this stat if possible)
In higher budgets, we swap to “The Dark Monarch” with the spectre mod. If it’s expensive, for whatever reason, you can use
Wraithlord as a replacement until it becomes affordable. Make no mistake, though, Dark Monarch is a vastly superior item.
Body Armour
To keep your budget down, you simply run a
Tabula Rasa, but any corrupted 6-Link you can purchase via trade will work much better.
The middling budgets will make use of a chestpiece with +1 to maximum spectres.
In the higher budgets, we swap this for a
Doryani's Prototype. Read the FAQ note for the setup, don’t use it without that. High budget only.
Gloves
High Life, Resistances, and Attributes as needed. Getting a pair with
Deafening Essence of Fear crafted Minion damage modifier isn’t a bad call here.

Modifier Priority List:
1. Life
2. Elemental Resistances if needed
3. Attributes if needed
4. Minion damage (Essence crafted)
5. Chaos Resistance
When crafting these, I would highly recommend you acquire a pair of gloves with fractured chaos resistance. This makes them quite easy to craft yourself, as you effectively just spam
Deafening Essence of Fear until you get a good life roll and either attributes or resistances.
Regarding the eldritch implicit, there is a choice between “chance to unnerve on hit” and “minions deal #% increased damage”. Both are valid.
Unnerve has a higher numerical damage value, But is only activated by using
Shield Charge onto the boss and is only a marginal boost. Choose the option that suits you, you are not willing to shield charge bosses you use Minion Damage.
Boots
While
Bones of Ullr remains an option for a very mild damage boost, the loss of resistances, life values and good movement speed is a tough ask.
I would recommend you go for a rare pair with triple resistances, a decent life roll and good movement speed. It just makes everything easier elsewhere.
Belt
The belt comes with a variety of options. For a lower budget version, you can go for any type of belt, preferably a
Stygian Vise due to the jewel slot, with, again, high Life, Resistances, and Attributes as needed.
However, I would personally use a
Darkness Enthroned and smack in properly rolled
Ghastly Eye Jewels with high Life rolls and the modifier “#% increased Minion Damage if you’ve used a Minion skill recently”.
For higher budget options, I would strongly suggest looking at the Darkness Enthroned but with a heavier focus on putting in the best jewels you can get in it as it will significantly scale your efficiency.

Cheap Jewel:

Accessories
Amulet
Having your Minions take hits for you is a huge defensive advantage. The anoint you want is Death Attunement.
For higher budgets, we ideally want to use
Replica Dragonfang's Flight spectre edition.
As this can be expensive, BoneMeld serves as a great budget option. Be advised that it comes with a hefty resistance penalty you’ll need to compensate for.
There is an option being introduced in this league, a talisman with +1 max specter. We expect this to be obscenely expensive and will possibly add it to higher budgets after testing.
Rings
High Life, Resistances, and Attributes as needed. Rings are a great slot for attributes, but also thanks to
Bone Ring, bringing our Minions’ Resistance up, they also allow for Minion-related offensive modifiers such as increased cast speed and Minion damage.

Modifier Priority List:
1. Life
2. Elemental Resistances if needed (75% cap)
3. Attributes if needed
4. Minion Cast speed
5. Minion damage
Weapon
A rare weapon +1 level of Minion and/or +1 level of all spell skills with preferably Minion damage, Minion cast speed and a trigger craft.

Modifier Priority List:
1. Level of All (or minion) skill gems
2. Open suffix to bench-craft the trigger craft
3. Minion damage
4. Minion cast speed
Shield
Minion base type shield to be able to roll our modifiers.
Modifier Priority List:
1. +1 to level of all Minion Skill Gems
2. Life
3. Elemental Resistances as needed (75% cap)
4. Chaos Resistance
5. Minion damage (This is why we use a Bone or Fossilised shield)
In higher budgets, we swap this for a
Bitterbind Point. The Unveiled modifier you want is +1 Specter. If this mod is too expensive or does not exist on trade, you can opt for +2 projectiles as a substitute.
Important to note here is that we do not have to gain Arcane Surge through the shield. As long as we gain the modifier, by any means, the spectres also gain it.
Flasks
Flask set-ups are almost always a matter of personal taste when it comes to what utility flasks to use. However, I will list the setup I’ve been using for a smooth play experience. To find the available list of modifiers the flasks can have, check out these links: Utility Flasks, Life Flasks, Mana Flasks and lastly: Hybrid Flasks .
| Slot | Flask | Description | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Divine Life Flask |
of Assuaging | Life flask, preferably with instant recovery and bleed removal |
| 2 | Amethyst Flask |
Helps to shore up Chaos Resistance. A good option is to have Shock or Chill/Freeze removal here | |
| 3 | Rumi's Concoction |
Unique flask | This helps increase your armour and provides block |
| 4 | Basalt Flask |
Of the Pangolin | Further mitigation through this flask, careful with the taunt it does to nearby enemies on use |
| 5 | Quicksilver Flask |
Of the Owl | Generic movement speed flask |
I cannot stress enough how important it is not to double up on anything here, except a life flask if you feel the need.
Rumi's Concoction with another granite flask is still just two granite flasks. It does not grant the benefit twice.
The same is true for flask suffixes, their effects do not stack.
Jewels
Minion builds almost always use the same type of jewel; we want to have an eHP increaser, which, for this build, means a Life roll. The main damage modifier we are looking for is only available from
Ghastly Eye Jewel and is the “#% Increased Minion Damage when you’ve used a Minion skill recently”. Anything besides those 2 modifiers can be either a cast speed increase for your Minions or added lightning damage for your Minions.
Other desirable modifiers are either Taunt or Blind on hit for your Minions; these modifiers are exclusive to the Ghastly Eye Jewels.

Small Cluster
We want one small cluster of the armour variant, with the notable “Enduring Composure”. The purpose of this jewel is to grant us consistent endurance charges.
Ideally, you want your jewel to have 2 passives, so you’re wasting as few passives as possible. Do note that these jewels are quite easy to roll on the harvest bench, and they can carry lots of useful stats. Maximum life, elemental resistances, chaos resistance or attributes. Make use of this to ease suffix pressure elsewhere.
Large Clusters
Initially, we don’t want to ask too much of our cluster jewel. You do not need to get a 12 passive immediately, especially not if you do not intend to craft your own.
Early on, we’re not looking for anything fancy, any beneficial mod is beneficial. I prefer to go for life and minion cast speed, but you can essentially use whatever you want here early.
At the absolute endgame, we are looking for a 12-point cluster with the following:
Small passive skills have 35% increased effect
Small Passive skills also grant 3% increased Minion Attack and Cast Speed
Small Passive skills also grant Maximum Life
Small Passive skills also grant Attributes
This is asking way too much early on. Any cluster with just the 35% effect and the 3% cast speed (35-3 as it’s commonly called) is fantastic. If you get any other beneficial stat, you have a great cluster for the whole medium/early high progression.
Remember that 10, 11, and 12 passive notables are all acceptable until super endgame, and an 11 will be massively cheaper than a 12 if purchasing a finished product on the market.
Unique Jewels
Unending Hunger
Don’t use this. It’s fun, but all it does is make one spectre really big. None of them will get Soul Eater, as the first one to acquire the buff kills everything. It’s just -1 jewel slot, effectively.
Elegant Hubris, commemorating Caspiro, Timeless Jewel
For Medium and High Budget non-Doryani, we’re utilising this jewel to skip all attribute requirements. This is a temporary softfix because our later game timeless doesn’t do anything for us, yet. Don’t over-invest in this. Don’t try to get one with 3 slumlords or anything else crazy or expensive. Any Elegant Hubris of Caspiro works here. While we’re using this tree, we can tattoo over our nodes to make better use of the attributes. This is due to the keystone granted here, removing all attribute requirements. It is important to note that we will need these attributes again in higher budgets, so don’t use expensive tattoos. I’d suggest the following tattoo.- Tattoo of the Rongokurai Warrior, 5% increased armour. This goes on the strength nodes and usually costs nothing. This is the primary suggestion, but if it’s expensive, you skip it.
For Dexterity and Intelligence attributes, there are no cheap and efficient tattoos, so I’d suggest you skip those. Movement speed and crit reductions are great, but they are usually upwards of a divine each, and it doesn’t make sense.
Watcher’s Eye
For the budgets of medium and upwards, you will want the modifier “#% additional physical reduction while affected by Determination”. This is enabled due to the spectre “Perfect Guardian Turtle” granting us the aura.
Later on, you will want to acquire an eyeball with both that modifier and the elemental conversion to cold while affected by the Purity of Ice mod. This modifier is mandatory and needs to be at 20%. Read the frontpage FAQ. If needed, you accept a lower roll on the phys reduction, you do NOT compromise on this roll. Ever.
The Light of Meaning
The Light of Meaning is a fantastic jewel that causes all nodes around it to grant the modifier on the jewel.
One of these jewels with chaos resistance grants us a monumental amount of chaos resistance and eases up on suffix pressure, especially in higher budgets. They tend to be pricy, but they are worth it.
Conversion Package for higher budgets.
Sublime Vision (Purity of Ice variant), Glorious Vanity (Xibaqua), and the corresponding Watchers Eye mod (Purity of Ice elemental convert) go together to form the backbone of the defensive package that enables Doryani’s Prototype. If you’re not familiar with the setup, I would suggest you read the more detailed explanation on this package on the FAQ on the front page.
