The Spectre Summoner PoB, Passive Skill Tree & Gem Links
IMPORTANT PoB NOTES
The PoB community fork created by Localidentity is the only version being kept up to date, so make sure you have the correct version: PoB Community Fork.
END GAME PoB & PASSIVE SKILL TREE
Here is the The Spectre Summoner Low Budget PoB, and for a quick glance over the finished skill tree for this version, check out this link.
For the medium budget version still being life based you can check this one out: https://pastebin.com/8DmJSfGY
LEVELING PROGRESSION
Depending on if you’re playing Hardcore or Softcore, you will have to adjust your routing based on how good the gear you find is. An example is that if you have lots of Life & Resistance from drops you get during the Acts, you can focus on taking the damage-providing nodes over the defensive ones and vice versa. The links below are trees that should fit in almost any situation no matter the drop RNG.
MASTERIES
A lot of the masteries available comes down to a matter of personal preference but some are more or less mandatory.
Life mastery: “+50 to maximum life” is a mastery we want to pick up as soon as possible
Life mastery: “10% increased maximum life & 10% reduced life recovery rate” should be picked up in your second available life cluster
Minion Defence Mastery: “minions leech 1% of damage as life” this is crucial for the sustainable survival of your spectres
Minion Defence Mastery: “minion have +8% to all maximum elemental resistances” At first glance this doesn’t sound very good but in this build it makes your entire army close to immortal and is extremely important
Minion Offence Mastery: “minions penetrate 8% of cursed enemies elemental resistances” since we are scaling spectres that will be doing 100% lightning damage we’ll have full benefit from this mastery node
Reservation Mastery: “15% increased mana reservation efficiency of skills” This allows us to reserve all auras we need for the build to function
Minion Offence Mastery: “20% increased effect of offerings” this further scales our Flesh Offering to let us deal more damage
LEVELING GEMS & LINKS
Don’t bother enabling Spectres until you’re level 65-70 or they will die consistently, so what you want to do is level the gem(s) in your off-slot weapons.
The only important links to think about during the leveling progression are the links utilized for the Summon Raging Spirit or
Summon Skeletons, and it depends on what colors you have available to you but the most optimal set-up for skeletons are:
If you go for the Raging Spirits (SRS) the links are similar, however, as soon as you get to Act 4-5 level 38 you will be able to get Unleash Support which I prefer or
Spell Echo Support which makes this type of leveling very smooth.
Do keep in mind that if you feel like you’re lacking single target damage vs any boss during the acts, you can always change your Melee Splash a red damage support gem such as Added Fire Damage Support or
Melee Physical Damage Support. Once you get 4L I would go for the melee physical and later you can change the Splash for
Multistrike Support instead for single target.
Aura decision comes in Act 3 which is when we enable the Hatred for optimal damage output.
AMULET ANOINTMENT
In my opinion, there’s only 1 Notable worth anointing for this build and that is Grave Intentions this requires: 1x Sepia Oil & 2x
Violet Oil.
END GAME GEM LINKS
6-Link Spectres
For low budget we are going to put our spectres in a very specific cheap 1h unique wand, it will be better to have in a 6-Link so getting a Tabula or a proper +1 maximum spectre chest (which you should either way when you get to the end-game). The spectres you’re gonna want to use for this build are the Slave Drivers they can be found in Control Blocks (Act 5).
3-Link Spectres inside ###item:amplification-rod###
And Predator Support
This allows you to not need a 6-Link till later and still performs admirably. The only problem with this wand is that the Spell Echo support is locked inside the weapon itself. So summoning your spectres would be extremely annoying unless you were aware of this little trick: By going to a town and equipping yourself with another 1h weapon and slotting the Raise Spectre gem in the same # slot that you will have the spectre gem in the actual Amplification Rod then heading back down to Control Blocks (Act 5) to summon your minions. Then you head back to the town and replace your weapon and make sure you move your spectre gem to the exact same socket slot you will then have sorted this “potential” issue.
6-Link Spectres
Raise Spectre
Spell Echo Support
Lightning Penetration Support
Controlled Destruction Support
Concentrated Effect Support Switch this for
Increased Area of Effect Support when clearing maps
And Predator Support
3-Link Trigger
Generic trigger set-up to automate our buffs:
3-Link Mobility & Utility
Simple 3 sockets being thrown together lacking any sort of beneficial gain from being put elsewhere:
4-Link Zombies & Golem
Generic utility minions that acts as a wall of minions blocking out stray projectiles and keeping you safe:
4-Link Auras & Cold Snap
We put most of our auras in this set-up but we also include Cold Snap this is because Algor Mortis requires us to provide a chill on enemies which can’t come from Skitterbots as they are minions.
1-Socket / 3-Link Skitterbots & Animate Guardian
Last aura as well as including a set-up for a tanky Animate Guardian. It’s important to split the links here so we don’t support the skitterbots with neither Minion Life nor Meat Shield as that will increase the reservation cost of the aura.
